Happy 1st Birthday Hannah Joy!

Our sweet baby girl turned 1 today! It has been the most wonderful year and she has changed our lives in the most amazing ways. So many memories come to mind when I think back on this year and how much Hannah has changed and grown. A recap of her last couple of weeks, her latest skills, and the events of the day will be coming tomorrow hopefully. For now, enjoy a few pics I took of her today as our little birthday girl. Her life is such a blessing to us and those around her !
We love you Hannah!!

Some new cute things

We have been spending a lot of time outside as the spring weather continues to get warmer and sunnier! Hannah loves going outside and also spends a lot of time sitting in front of the screen doors. She figured out how to open it this week, among other new things she is doing all the time! Here are a few...

- She is actually doing some "real" crawling. She still seems to prefer her army crawl, but she moves on her hands and knees often throughout the day now. Good job Hannah!

-She is always trying to hand things to people. She doesn't always give it to you, but she likes to attempt to share.

-She is making so many sounds. She can "moo" when we say "what does the cow say?"

...and some new things with pictures:

She is cruising around everything! She spends most of her time circling our coffee table, but she will pull up and walk around anything she can find!

She has been teething again these last couple of weeks, getting two of her molars in. As a result, she continues to chew on anything she can find and has quite a lot of slobber!

Hannah loves Maya

She also loves drinking water, especially out of a water bottle. She gets so excited when we give her a drink out of it. She has a specific sound she makes when she is excited or wants something, sort of like a cute grunting sound. We love it!

Easter + Random Pics

Have I ever mentioned how sweet Hannah is? I think she is just the most precious baby and really has the sweetest eyes, smile, personality. Below are some pics from the last week or so and a video at the end.

Hannah sat at this screen door and watched Nate work outside for the longest time the other day. She loves her Daddy. She can say Mama and Dada and we like to think she can use it correctly, but she also says those sounds when she is just babbling away, so who knows.

tHannah has figured out how to blow her nose. She kept putting the tissues up to her nose like this over and over, and would make a blowing noise when I would say "blow". She is always surprising us with new things.

She goes through phases on things she likes to do with her mouth or expressions she likes to make. Above is her latest.

We had a great Easter weekend. We spent time in Indy with my side of the family. Above is Hannah and cousin Jed with Grandpa Ringger.

One of Hannah's Easter gifts was a new book from Daddy. Here they are checking it out together.

Above she is playing with a new play camera from Grandpa and Grandma Ringger, and below cousin Emery is trying it out as well by taking a pic of Hannah!

Going through her Easter baskets...

On Easter Sunday after church. We really are so blessed and thank Jesus for the life he has given us on earth and the sacrifice he made for us to give us eternal life with him in heaven one day. Doesn't Hannah look so adorable in her pink Easter dress?!

Hannah with Great Grandpa and Grandma Witzig!

Sweet little Hannah with my cousin Hannah...two wonderful people.
They bonded over the weekend :)

Hannah's 1st Easter with Mommy and Daddy!

Lastly, Hannah has figured out how to take out her bow or headband. People have always asked me how I get her to keep it in and up to this point it has never even been an issue. All of a sudden she thinks it is funny to take it out...I am going to have to work on that.

Below...I just love this pic of Hannah. Also below is a video of her going through all of her little skills. Enjoy!

11 months

Hannah is learning new things all the time, surprising us with what she knows how to do. We figured out that she knows the words "dance" and "stick out your tongue" and will actually do both when prompted. It is so adorable. I wonder what else she knows???

This girl LOVES cell phones. We decided to get out one of our old cell phones for her to play with since she has been accidentally calling people with ours. Of course, she still found mine and couldn't decide which one she really liked (above). She has started to put the phone up to her ear like she is talking, so that is pretty cute (below). She must see Mommy do it a lot!

My friend was telling me I should try out coloring with Hannah. She liked pulling the crayons out of the box and spent a lot of time tasting them...not much coloring was happening though! It was worth a try :)

Nate and Hannah watching some March Madness b-ball together. Whenever Nate would clap she would clap too. It was really sweet.
Below is a pic of all the Clark grandkids. All of us Mom's are staying home this year with the kiddos, so we got together to hang out. Although they aren't in the pic, my sister Amy also came with my nephew Jed, and another friend Amy came with her two sons Jace and Will. We had so much fun. Little Joshua, the baby boy on the left, is the newest Clark baby.

Here is Hannah looking at her picture book of people that love her! She loves to look at books. Every morning after she finishes eating, she immediately leans over my lap to look into her book basket. Hopefully her love for books continues to grow! Speaking of growing...I started making things for her birthday party since her 1 year birthday is quickly approaching. It is sad and exciting all at the same time!

As Hannah's 10th month comes to an end, I can't stop thinking about how fast she is growing up and how much joy she brings Nate and I each day. Above is our most recent family picture. It seems we take a million pics of Hannah but not many with us and her together!
This is one of her favorite things to do right now...hold a spoon (or really any toy) out of her mouth without using her hands. It makes us laugh all the time.

She also loves to go through bags or baskets and empty them out. We went to Nate's staff basketball game the other night and she was entertained the whole time when I let her dig through the diaper bag and throw it all out on the bleachers. Above is her emptying out her toy basket, and below is her trying to get into the food pantry. I have always been lazy about shutting doors or drawers, but I am learning quickly to shut things to keep her out! A couple pics down is Nate putting those latches on the cabinets so she can't open them.

Below is a pic of Hannah's little face looking straight into the video monitor. She often plays with the camera when she wakes up from a nap. Probably time to move that out of reach, too!

We have been loving the nice weather. Hannah gets really excited when I pick her up and head for the door. She starts kicking her feet and waving her arms. We took her to the park for the first time and tried out the swing and slide.

One of the biggest accomplishments of the week...learning SO BIG! She has been raising her arms up in the air for a couple weeks, but she wouldn't put the action and words together. This week she did...it was very exciting for me because I have been trying to teach her this for quite awhile.
I love this pic of Nate and her. Nate is an awesome Dad.
I will leave you with a sweet smile. Enjoy your weekend!
