We had another great week with Hannah Joy. I have been doing some part time work that I can do from home which I am very thankful for, but it makes our schedule a little crazier! It is worth it though to be able to be home with our sweet baby and smile and laugh with her all day. She is doing the funniest things all the time and really trying to get our attention. All she really has to do is flash us her cute smile and it melts our hearts. Most of the time she is babbling and happily screaming, looking at us to make sure we notice! We had her 9 month appointment this week as well. She is 19 pounds 7 ounces! Her weight, height, and head size all remain above average. At her 4 month appointment, our pediatrician had heard a heart murmur, but he said it seemed fainter this time. That was good to hear! Ok, and now some pictures...

COLTS Party at my parents!!! They are going to the Superbowl...yay! This is my whole side of the family. Below we are with Nate's parents and also Paul and Allison with new Baby Josiah!

Here Hannah is with cousins Elena and Emery!

She crawled/slithered backwards to get here!

Interested in everything and able to get to it all!

She likes to stick out her tongue!

Bathtime is so off and on for Hannah. She loves it one week and screams in it the next. We haven't figured out what changes for her, but this week she loves it!
She has learned how to SPLASH!

Above: She got a new top tooth recently, now totaling her teeth to three. We started brushing her teeth and she loves it. Here she is trying to grab the toothpaste!

Below: I took this pic of Hannah after one of her baths this week. I remember taking a bunch of pics like this when she was just a newborn laying on the changing table. She looks so huge now! She loves to have her feet up in the air!

Have a great weekend!

Already 9 months!

Hannah is 9 months today! She has changed so much in the last 8 months. My sister and brother in law have a new precious baby boy (which makes the 3rd new niece or nephew in the past 5 months) and being around newborns reminds me how each stage is great and amazing. I get sad about Hannah not being a tiny baby but excited as she learns new things all the time. It is a strange mix of emotions. Regardless of the age or stage, I love our Hannah like crazy and she makes each day wonderful. Just look at that adorable smile. I can hardly stand how cute she is, but of course I'm biased :)

I am planning on printing this blog at the end of Hannah's first year, so I am going to start writing more stories and cute things she does for memory sake. Beware of lots of writing!!!

A few new cute things Hannah is doing lately...

** She is trying to wave hi. The other day I was rocking her to sleep for a nap and she was waving to me as she drifted off. We also have a video monitor and the other day Nate and I were watching her in it before we went to get her in the morning and she was waving to the camera. So sweet.

** She is learning to make her way around the floor in a slithering fashion! She pushes with her feet, raises her butt in the air, and REACHES as far as she possibly can to get things. She also is attempting to pull up onto things. To her it is very humorous and brings lots of giggles.

** My personal favorite...she is reaching out to us when she wants picked up. I have been trying to get her to put her hands out for us to pick her up for quite awhile, and she finally started doing it! It is such a sweet feeling to know she wants you :)

And now, a few pictures...

She likes reading TIME magazine...oh I mean she likes to RIP UP TIME magazine :)

This girl loves loves loves to eat. Like I said in a previous post, she will sit and pick up snacks or toast for a long long time. She seems to not know the feeling of full! Her cute belly shows it!

Welcoming Daddy home from work and getting a lick from Maya.

Here is Hannah's new cousin Josiah!
Hannah and Josiah together. He is super cute and tiny.
Below is all three Ringger Grandbabies...Hannah, Josiah, and Jed! We had quite the time getting a good picture of these three. Jed was running all over and Hannah was more interested in a strap on the bouncer! Josiah was perfectly still :)

8 month photos

Above is Hannah's 8 month picture with Maya. I have a feeling I am going to have a hard time getting her to sit still by Maya as she gets more mobile. She was constantly attempting to move and get things. She isn't crawling yet, but she is making progress. She will go from a sitting position, move onto all fours (sometimes three when her foot is stuck under) and then lunge forward. Once in awhile she moves her hands forward a little bit. For now, her best way of getting around is rolling!

I love her smile in the above picture...
and her big blue eyes in this one!

Above she is focusing on crawling, and below just being her happy self. One thing that is cute now but probably won't be cute for long is her new ability to turn her head when she doesn't want something. She is starting to know what she wants and how to tell us about it! It is fun to see her little personality coming out! She is so much fun.

It's no fun being sick!

Our first post of the new year comes after a different kind of week for us. Sweet Hannah came down with a fever bug for about 4 days this week. She had very little energy and we saw very few smiles. It was sad. This was the first time she had really been sick. She spent a lot of time being held and reading books. Finally her fever left but then the next morning she woke up to a red splotchy rash all over her face, neck, stomach, and back. It fades and darkens off and on throughout the day. The above pictures are of her feeling much better from her fever being gone. The picture below is her with the rash. She still managed to give us a smile for the picture. (By the way, she is not contagious with the rash for those of you who have been around her.) It is hard as a parent to see your baby sick, so we are very thankful she is doing better.

Here is Hannah working on standing. She loves to stand with just a little help.

Yep, that would be Maya jumping OVER Hannah. I am not sure how Nate got that on camera, but he did. Hannah loves when Maya is around...
...and loves laying on Maya. She was having the best time with this.
Something new Hannah has started doing is drinking from her sippy cup and feeding herself snacks. She loves water and tried juice for the first time this weekend. She can also pick up crackers, puffs, and tiny pieces of toast and put them in her mouth. If she can get her hands on paper, she would probably prefer to eat that, but puffs are her favorite snack for now. I can't believe how much she can do on her own now. She is growing up so much.
